Radio floreert, met recente peilingen waaruit blijkt dat radio voor velen nog steeds hun favoriete entertainment overdag is. R1S zal elke slaapkamer goed staan en beter klinken en met aanpasbare twin alarm word je wakker uit je sluimer met geluidskwaliteit precies hoe en wanneer u wilt. Ook inbegrepen is instelbaar snooze en slaap timers zodat u in slaap dommelt in een soortgelijke manier.
Programma en tijd worden weergegeven met levendige duidelijkheid over de nieuwste technologie Organic LED-display met de weergave zijn hoge contrast op elk kijkhoek behoud. Ook de helderheid van het scherm kan worden aangepast aan uw behoeften, zowel in standby en actieve modes.
De behuizing R1S wordt handgemaakt van natuurlijke materialen die we kennen uit het ontwerpen van luidsprekers, geeft de beste geluidskwaliteit. Gekleed in exclusieve Mid Grey afwerking, dit materiaal heeft ook het extra voordeel dat het is heerlijk om aan te raken en te zien.
Aan de achterzijde van de R1 je een hoofdtelefoon uitgang en een schakelbare line input die het mogelijk maakt andere audio-apparaten aan te sluiten en genoten met sonore klank R1S te vinden. R1S beschikt ook over een USB-poort heffing, zodat u uw Smartphone eenvoudig kunt opladen, zelfs wanneer R1S in de standby-modus.
Supercharged Radio
Radio evolueert en met inhaaldiensten en podcasts nu in de mix, is de tijd nog nooit zo goed geweest om te herontdekken hoe leuk dit medium kan zijn. Met zijn SmartRadio-tuner biedt R1S toegang tot stations over de hele wereld en met de opkomst van podcasts heeft R1S een bron gewijd aan dit groeiende formaat. De keuze aan stations en podcasts is enorm, maar met de zoekfunctie van R1S is het eenvoudig om te vinden wat je zoekt via onze intuïtieve RotoDial-controller.
Met wi-fi en bluetooth streaming ook ingebouwd de aantrekkingskracht van R1S wordt verder versterkt. R1S ondersteunt direct Spotify Connect*, Amazon Music en Deezer en met zijn Bluetooth 5-ontvanger vrijwel elke andere beschikbare service. De Bluetooth-functie onthoudt maximaal zes apparaten en biedt een uitstekende geluidskwaliteit en efficiëntie, wat betekent dat de batterij minimaal leegloopt op apparaten op batterijen.

Oprichting
De oorsprong van Ruark gaat terug tot de vroege dagen van Hi-Fi. Er is sindsdien veel veranderd, maar de principes van wat een geweldig muzieksysteem maakt, zijn nog steeds hetzelfde als vroeger, en daarom houden we ons eraan vast.
Ruark-oprichter, Alan O’Rourke, groeide op met het spelen van gitaar en was omringd door Hi-Fi apparatuur door het werk van zijn vader in de industrie. Het is dan ook niet helemaal verrassend dat hij zijn eigen audiobedrijf oprichtte. Ruark's eerste product, begin jaren '80, was de Sabre - een mooie kleine boekenplank-type, tweeweg luidspreker die prijzen won en Ruark op de kaart zette.
In die dagen waren alle luidsprekerkasten van hout gemaakt, en veel zijn dat nog steeds. Alan's vader, Brian, was een opgeleide meubelmaker en werkte samen met enkele van de pioniers van de Britse Hi-Fi. Hij begreep hoe belangrijk materialen en constructie zijn voor hoe een muzieksysteem klinkt. De appel valt niet ver van de boom. En het zijn deze principes die we nog steeds toepassen wanneer we onze producten bijwerken of ontwerpen.
I’ve loved music all my life, I grew up surrounded by it and it has always been a passion of mine. My dad got me into playing the guitar when I was a kid, as he worked for a company who imported them. So, growing up, I was surrounded by lots of wonderful equipment.

We have always loved design. Our ultimate mission is to create beautiful products that blend in with your environment, and are easy to live with as they are enjoyable to listen to.
Much of our inspiration comes from our surroundings and the things we love most. The curves of our favourite car, the functionality of a piece of classic furniture, the texture of a knitted sweater or the technology of the latest gadget in our office. We are constantly inspired and looking for new ways to shape and develop our products. We never stop.
We understand that for many of our customers, great sound isn’t always their biggest priority. In an era where we are wanting our homes to be stylish, every item has to earn its place and look beautiful in its position.
So we design products that are as pleasing to the eye as they are to the ear. In fact, people tell us they are including our music systems in their overall interior design.
Our goal has always been to create products with a design style that is timeless. An aesthetic which looks good in contemporary homes but also more classic decor, too. It's a fine balance to achieve this, and we take our time; some of our products can take up to two years to develop, from concept to launch. And, we are continually looking to improve our existing products so although the design may not change much, the way it functions will gradually evolve and update. We never stand still.
Since our earliest days, we’ve understood and defined how materials affect the sound of a system, so we select each one for its unique properties. When combined, they create our unique sound.
Long before making audio products became our business, it was a shared hobby for our founder Alan and his dad. Together, they experimented with components and cabinets to create their own prototype systems. They quickly discovered that changing the materials and construction methods they used in the cabinets could make subtle or significant differences to the sound.
Today, you’ll still find the same knowledge and enthusiasm in the company they founded. We choose our real wood veneers, polymers, high-grade alloys and beautiful fabrics for their specific acoustic and aesthetic properties. You’ll notice the details, and hear the difference.
As technology evolves, so do our products. You can enjoy the benefits of the latest developments, with the assurance of knowing your music system will stand the test of time.
As enthusiasts, not just manufacturers, we’re on top of all the new audio technology developments. But we’re not driven by them. It takes time to design and produce a new music system, so we need to be certain an innovation is right for us and, most importantly, will be relevant and useful to our customers.
