De i7-XR is het instapmodel versterker in de XR-serie van Cyrus. De vertrouwde Cyrus behuizing is hetzelfde, echter met een geheel nieuwe fantoomzwarte lakafwerking, aanraakgevoelige bedieningselementen en een scherm met een hogere resolutie, dat kan worden aangepast voor helderheid, contrast en polariteit, deze aspecten naast het musicale aspect maakt van I7-XR een sterke propositie.
De i7-XR is alles wat de i9-XR is, maar met een verminderd vermogen van 2 x 52W in 6Ω, wat nog steeds forse vloerstaanders zal aansturen. Met hetzelfde aantal analoge en digitale ingangen kan de i7 ondersteunen wat uw voorkeursbron is.

POWER AMPLIFIER
The wideband power amplifier of the i7-XR responds from DC to beyond 100kHz ensuring ruler-flat frequency response and keeping any undesirable phase shifts out of the audio band. With a generous, over-specified power supply the i7-XR power amplifier delivers music with a scale and authority that belies its 52W rating.
ALL NEW ANALOGUE PREAMPLIFIER
Derived from the new high-end Pre-XR preamplifier, the i7-XR analogue preamp features relay input selection and a new high-performance gain stage. This short-path design makes the analogue preamplifier extremely transparent. With four analogue inputs and phono MM, the i7-XR will cover just about any system requirement for analogue connectivity.
XR DIGITAL PERFORMANCE
The DAC input stage of the i7-XR features a new 2nd generation version of our award-winning QXR DAC, but with an all-new high-speed analogue buffer stage. Seven digital filter alignment options are user adjustable to suit the taste of the listener. Input options include USB audio (to 768k sample rate) and DSD to DSD512, 2 x SPDIF digital and 2 x optical digital inputs.
LOW NOISE PHONO STAGE FOR VINYL
Inheriting many design features of the award-winning Phono Signature, the phono stage in the i7-XR performs at a level way above its class. Featuring low background noise and high dynamic range, the phono stage is a perfect complement for a quality vinyl turntable source.

What Cyrus has done here is very impressive because this is still unquestionably a Cyrus amp.
It looks like one, feels like one, has the features we associate with the company and keeps that usefully compact form factor. Importantly, though, it does all these things better than before.
If you do not believe that different electronics possess differing skills when it comes to delivering time signatures and the intrinsic head nodding quality therein, I suspect an hour with this might change your mind. As fellow Brits Naim have gently moved their presentation, it leaves the i7 XR as the unchallenged speed king of this price segment.

De naam Cyrus werd in de HiFi electronica industrie voor het eerst gepresenteerd in 1984 door het Britse merk Mission, luidspreker fabrikant. Wat uniek is onder de Britse high-end audiofabrikanten, is het pionierswerk van Cyrus. Dit heeft, in hun onderzoeks- en ontwikkelingsafdeling in Cambridgeshire, geleid tot opmerkelijke vooruitgang in DAC-ontwerp, energiebeheer, CD-servoontwerp en ruisonderdrukking. Alle producten van de Classic- en XR-serie zijn behuist met de hand afgewerkte omgekeerde 'gegoten aluminium' chassis en uitgerust met de beste audiocomponenten die beschikbaar zijn. Dit ervaren als een verbluffende elegantie met verschroeiende prestaties van uw Cyrus-muzieksysteem. Dit rechtvaardigen echt hun 'pride-of-place' in uw luister- of zitkamer.
